13 – 16 YEAR OLDS
Calling all young musicians, singers, bands and DJs.  We want to hear your talent.
The Streatham Festival is once again holding a Youth Musical Talent Showcase for 13 to 16 year olds living in and around Streatham and wants to hear from singers, songwriters, bands, duos, DJs and musicians who would be willing to send through an example of their work to then be included in the Streatham Festival Showcase 2020.
There will be more details of how we are going to present the music this year closer to the time, but in the first instance, please  get your parents to send an email to with your details, name, age, school, name of group and name of song and a short clip of your music or you playing, singing or DJ’ing.

Last year Dan Carey, a local record producer who runs Speedy Wunderground in Co-Operation with Heavenly Records, was invited to come along and then give the acts some feedback on their music, their songs, styles and performances. Many of the acts found this invaluable. One of the bands was even invited to his studio to record their songs!  We are hoping to do something similar again this year.
Deadline for submitting your work is 1st September 2020
Looking forward to hearing from some stars of the future!!!!

OVER 16’s

The Festival is looking for local bands, singers and musicians to take part in a Virtual Strut. Every year the Festival choses 10 bands to play in 10 venues over 10 hours and it has grown into an amazing event attended by hundreds of people across Streatham.

This year and in the current situation that everyone has found themselves in, the Festival is appealing for bands and musicians living in and around Streatham to send a short Bio about themselves, a photo and a link to their music. This information will be uploaded to the Festival website as and when it arrives, then the venues in Streatham that would have hosted the Strut this year will chose who they would have chosen to play in their venue and instead, that band or musician will be scheduled to play live online from the comforts of their kitchens, gardens or recording studios.
However, if things do change as we get closer to October, it is hoped that venues across Streatham will be able to throw their doors open to the public and welcome us all back for the Streatham Strutt!!!
