An opportunity to explore the abstract world of light painting. This fun workshop is a new addition to Streatham Festival and promises to bring out the creative side of every photographer.

This will be a night time event to be held outside and will allow you to learn techniques to create your own works of art created using light and long exposure photography.

No experience is necessary as we will provide you with guidance, lighting and model, but it will be you that will be in the creative driving seat.

As this will be a popular event and spaces are going to be limited to 10 photographers, we are asking for a small charge to show commitment to attend.  We do ask that if you are unable to make this event, you inform us as soon as possible so we can give your space to another person.

Participant requirements

• Suitable for those over 16 years old
• A DSLR or mirrorless camera – with timer / bulb function (i.e. you tell your camera how long to keep the shutter open)
• A tripod – if you do not have one, please contact eyeonstreatham@gmail.com
• A torch
• Suitable clothing
• A willingness to learn from all involved

In the event of rain or some devilish freak weather event, we may have to put this event back a number of days but will highlight this beforehand and engage with you to try to find a convenient date that best suits most people.
