Petra and Phil will be teaching how to bring new life to old photos using Adobe Photoshop in this online workshop

In this online workshop, Petra Gent and Phil Moran, Eye on Streatham leads will be showing you Adobe Photoshop tools and techniques to bring old photographs back to life.

It’s time to dig out that old shoebox or photo album and get to retouching.  This is a a lovely skill to have when being able to share your work with older loved ones.

We are going to cover:

• Capturing your photograph with scanner or your camera
• Preparation and crop
• Repairing tears and other damaged items
• Removing dust and scratches
• Black & White to Colour
• Noise reduction

We’ll look to keep this presentation technically light so you will be able to use these same techniques yourself and develop your photo editing skills.  This will be a mixture of structured presentation with live editing and you will have plenty of opportunity to ask questions.

Challenge and homework (it’s okay as it is going to be fun!) – We’re going to set you a challenge to work on some example images.  We’ll ask you to submit back to Eye on Streatham for review and a prize for best effort!
