Since graduating from the University of Leeds with a First-Class Honours in Sociology, I have progressed my style from the graphite portraits I drew as a teenager to tattoo flash inspired paintings. I use bold lines, solid shadows and watercolour inks to achieve this.
The subjects of my paintings are often playful and cheeky whilst also maintaining a level of hardiness. As women are so often presented through the male lens,
I definitely gain a sense of empowerment from painting the girls that I do. Arguably, the subjects of my paintings still appease the male gaze,  however I find the majority of people who enjoy my paintings are those who identify as women or non-binary. My work also takes influence from my Indian heritage as I love to blend the traditional tattoo style of flash with the imagery of Hinduism.
