Martin is a fine artist, who began his career sometime in the last century after studying at Croydon College, Trent Polytechnic and the RA Schools. Working at his studio in West Norwood he produces mainly paintings and screen prints. The images of local landscapes are complimented by anecdotal and narrative artworks; these can appear wry and whimsical but often resonate with melancholy and intrigue.
He also skilfully paints portraits of old vinyl records, makes miniature and bespoke London bus stops, has an ongoing series of wild flower screen prints and is one of the original members of the South London Procrastination Club.
