Sukhy is a portrait and documentary photographer based in London. He makes long-form photostories about marginalised people, often inspired by social and political issues. His work has spanned several genres and is informed by a respect and understanding of the craft of image-making.
He has documented behind the scenes on movie sets, fashion shows, photographed gigs and events such as the Tour de France, shooting Lance Armstrong’s final race. Sukhy’s photographs have been featured by sporting brands, in advertising and he has exhibited in the UK and abroad. Sukhy is currently working on a book based on his photo story with young carers. It will be published by contemporary art gallery and publisher, School.
He is colourblind, self-taught and teaches workshops across the UK.
