Nishad Karim is a local artist and was born is Trinidad & Tobago. He studied Visual Arts at the University of The West Indies and graduated with a BA First Class Hons. Nishad is currently the Head of Year 6 Department at Downsview Primary School.

Nishad has had many exhibitions in Trinidad and in London. His last, was a solo exhibition entitled, ’Perspectives’, a study on the changing landscapes of Streatham Common and the Rookery in 2017. Nishad was able to capture the Common and Rookery’s many transformations from Winter to Summer.

Each season having its own mood, ever changing light and of course its palette. The many pathways, nooks and crannies that interweave and crossover provide ample viewpoints and perspectives for the eyes of the beholder and a personal space for those who wish to step away from the hustle and bustle.
